Jerry Brito: Top ten myths about introverts →
I didn’t reblog this so much for extroverts to understand introverts, but for introverts to comprehend their introversion and why its not a bad thing. Introverts: Unite!
jerrybrito:
Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk. This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in,...

How the Internet can weigh on your job search...
I found this news story of a woman getting kicked off a train for being loud on her cellphone. The kicker about this story was how she protested that she shouldn’t be reprimanded because she is “very well educated”. Her point, which holds no merit, is kind of ironic: most well educated people would a) know not to speak so loudly in the first place, or b) know this is a battle...

A stat or two... (Updated, 6/16/11)
Did a little research because I was surprised that this hasn’t popped up yet… only four cities have ever had a championship in each of the four major sports at one time or another…. Shortest time it took each city to win all four: It took Boston 36 Years: 6 YEARS!!!!!! (72 NHL, , 05 NFL, 07 MLB, 08 NBA, 2011 NHL) It took Chicago 25 Years: (85 NFL, 91-93, 96-98 NBA, 05 MLB, and 10...

personal branding for students
I’m in the middle of putting together a personal branding workshop for students. here are some of my brief opinions, site by site:
Facebook (100% Private, 100% personal): Completely privatize your facebook. Draw the lines in your corner of cyberspace and make facebook the one place where you can truly interact with friends and family in a private setting. facebook isn’t the best forum...

Music Video of the Day: Beastie Boys - “Make Some Noise”
The visual component of the first single off the trio’s eighth effort Hot Sauce Committee Part Two is actually a five-minute snippet from their Sundance-screened short Fight For Your Right Revisited, starring everybody who’s anybody.
Incidentally (or not), Fight For Your Right Revisited will have its...

Thing That Recently Happened
Emily and I were running errands (Sunday August 1st) when Emily decided we should drop by the Pittsburgh rescue shelter. She has been thinking about adopting, and thought we should drop by to see what the process would be for adopting, and of course look at the dogs. Emily ended up falling in love with this little Chihuahua-mix. Not to say I didn’t love the little guy, too, but Emily was...

Seeing My Oz
…and how history repeats itself.
When I was 12, I rigged an old TV set with a clothes hanger and tin-foil so I could watch TV late at night. As the trail of tin-foil grew, so did my admiration for late night talk. I quickly grew to a routine of Letterman then Conan before bed.
I wanted to be Conan. I was fortunate enough to discover Conan early, in the Andy days and the heyday of Late...

Running in Athens
It’s time for my annual post on running. Today I was running through Athens and, although not raining, it was really nice because during the summer the town is so empty and free. I can run without having to worry about waiting to cross the street for 3 minutes, running into people, getting hit by frisbees or get stuck in an awkward pattern where another runner and i keep passing eachother.

My last ever contribution to Ohio Sports Zone. I have spent the last four years building a great relationship with this show and the people that work on it. Tonight I say goodbye to all that. Enjoy one last installment of Where Are They Now….

The newest edition to the newest segment of the show. I’ve had a lot of fun doing these. I came up with a cool idea for the next one. So watch out for it!
